Who We Are
The Black Engineers Society is the University of Maryland, College Park's National Society of Black Engineers Chapter. Founded in 1975, we strive to serve students in their academic and professional journeys. We provide students with opportunities to expand their social networks, engage with industry professionals, and give back to their community. This organization is open to all students regardless of background, identity or affiliation.
Programs and Events
In spirit of collaboration and exposing our members to future employers, we host company visits. During company visits our sponsors bring representatives to talk about their culture, projects, and employment opportunities.
